Katai Piper Pregnant With Girl Baby; Worried For Her Urban Daughter 

TV presenter and former model Katie Piper, who suffered an acid attack in 2008, says her life has changed in a wonderful way since she discovered she is pregnant. She has also revealed she is expecting a baby girl. The 30-year-old announced her pregnancy in September. "This is the start of a whole new life. The other night I was at a charity ball and everyone I met wanted to talk to me about the baby, not about my burns and recovery," reports dailymail.co.uk. Piper was badly burnt in an acid attack organised by an ex-boyfriend. She now runs her own charitable foundation helping people with burns and scars 

She and her boyfriend James are worried about having a girl. "Of course, your main concern is that your baby is forming healthily and everything is progressing as it should. But because of everything that has happened to me, I had this slight feeling of panic, thinking 'Oh gosh but it is such a dangerous world for a woman'," she said. Katie went blind in one eye in 2008 after an ex-boyfriend arranged for an accomplice to throw sulphuric acid in her face. They are both serving life sentences in prison.The former model once paid tribute to her boyfriend and said he had read the book she had written about her ordeal. "I said I would rather he read it than me have to tell him everything. Then if he had any questions he could ask me. He was angry and upset (after he read it). By then we had fallen in love."
